What is Clouve?

Clouve is a managed application platform. It lets your organization deploy enterprise software (CMS systems, CRMs, learning management systems, collaboration tools, and more) without an IT team or cloud expertise.

It works like an app store for business software. Every application you deploy runs in your own dedicated, isolated environment in the cloud.

The problem Clouve solves

Deploying business software the traditional way requires:

  • A cloud infrastructure team, or a costly managed service
  • Expertise in containers, Kubernetes, networking, and DNS
  • Ongoing security patching and maintenance
  • A DevOps engineer for every new application

That puts enterprise software out of reach for many organizations, and it creates bottlenecks even for teams that have the expertise.

Clouve removes that work. Your team picks an application from the marketplace, fills in a few settings, and clicks Deploy. The platform provisions the server, sets up the application, configures HTTPS, and keeps it running.

How it works

The marketplace

The Clouve marketplace is a curated catalog of enterprise applications, packaged by developers and verified by the platform. You browse, evaluate, and deploy from a single web interface.

Your workspace

When you deploy an application, it runs in your own dedicated workspace, an isolated environment in the cloud. No other organization's data or processes can reach it.

Each deployed application gets:

  • A unique HTTPS URL (for example, https://mycompany.clouve.dev)
  • Its own database, files, and configuration
  • An automatic TLS certificate for HTTPS encryption
  • Dedicated computing resources

Infrastructure you don't have to manage

Behind the scenes, Clouve runs on Kubernetes, a container orchestration platform used by Google, Netflix, and thousands of enterprises. The platform manages:

  • Availability: The platform monitors applications continuously and restarts anything that crashes.
  • Security: All traffic is encrypted, and applications are isolated from each other.
  • Updates: You get a notification when an application update is available. You choose when to apply it.
  • Backups: Data is stored on persistent, redundant cloud storage.

Key concepts

Application

An application is a piece of software available in the marketplace: WordPress (content management), SuiteCRM (customer relationship management), Moodle (learning management), Odoo (ERP), and others.

An application may include several components. A content management system, for example, usually includes the application itself and a database. These components are deployed together and managed as a unit.

Bundle

A bundle is a group of related applications deployed together. An "Education Kit" might include both a Learning Management System (LMS) and a School Management System, deployed side by side and reachable from the same workspace.

Workspace

A workspace is your organization's deployment of a specific application. Each workspace has a dedicated URL. You can have more than one, such as a development workspace and a production workspace for the same application.

Deployment

Deploying an application means provisioning it to a workspace. During deployment you provide settings specific to your organization, such as the admin email and site name. The platform then sets up the infrastructure and starts the application.

What Clouve is not

Clouve is not a hosting control panel. You don't manage servers, configure DNS records by hand, or install software; the platform does all of that.

Clouve is not a SaaS application. Marketplace applications run in your own isolated environment rather than a shared multi-tenant system, and your data stays in your workspace.

Clouve is not tied to one cloud. The platform supports deployment to Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and private infrastructure. Your organization's cloud preference is configured at the workspace level.

Who uses Clouve?

  • Organizations without a dedicated IT infrastructure team that need enterprise software
  • Organizations with IT teams that want to cut deployment time and repetitive infrastructure work
  • Organizations with compliance requirements that need isolated, auditable environments
  • Educational institutions deploying LMS platforms, collaboration tools, and administrative systems

Getting started

If you're new to the platform:

  1. Sign in to the Clouve web interface with your organizational account
  2. Your dashboard lists your organization's workspaces
  3. Browse the marketplace for an application that fits your needs
  4. Follow the deployment wizard
